Terms for clients and visitors

These terms cover how you use the public showcase, My selection, view-only selection links, comp cards, "Send to ALM" enquiries and private shortlist links on ALM Talent. If you hold a Special Client Access pass, the Special Client Access terms also apply.

ALM Talent is run by [ALM Media LLC (exact registered name to be confirmed)], a company licensed by Sharjah Media City (Shams) free zone, United Arab Emirates. Trade licence no. [TRADE LICENCE NUMBER]; registered address [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We work from Dubai, UAE. In these terms the company is called "ALM", "we" or "us".

By using these features, you agree to these terms. If you use them for a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.

  • What it shows. The showcase lists talents who have chosen to appear in it and whom ALM has approved. The information comes from the talents themselves.
  • Accuracy. We check profiles, but we cannot promise that every detail is accurate, complete or current. Examples are measurements, availability and skills.
  • What a profile means. A profile on the showcase is not an offer to work and does not mean the talent is available.
  • Contact details. They are never shown on the showcase. All bookings go through ALM, except contacts approved under a Special Client Access pass.
  • What to send. When you send a selection to ALM, tell us about the project.
  • Our reply time. Our team aims to reply within 24 hours with availability and rates.
  • Urgent requests. If you mark a request Urgent, we treat it as a priority. This does not guarantee a faster reply.
  • What an enquiry is. An enquiry is not a booking. Availability, rates and usage are confirmed only in a written quotation or booking agreement from ALM. [Our standard booking terms: TO BE PROVIDED BY ALM.]
  • What you must provide. Your name, company, email and a mobile number are required. A WhatsApp number is optional.
  • How we use your details. We use them only to answer the enquiry (see the privacy notice).
  • What they are. The ALM team may send you a private link to a shortlist for your project.
  • Expiry. A link expires after 30 days unless ALM extends it. ALM may switch it off at any time.
  • Keep it private. Do not forward the link outside the people working on your project. Anyone with the link can see the shortlist.
  • Picks and comments. You can heart talents and add comments. ALM's team sees them live. They are not shown to the talents.
  • What is never included. Shortlists never include talents' contact details or rates.
  • What they are. Comp cards and package PDFs show public-safe casting information only: name and initial, talent number, measurements, chosen photos. They never show contact details or exact dates of birth.
  • What you may use them for. You may download them, keep them, and share them within your project team and with your own client. The only purpose is to evaluate talents for a project with ALM.
  • What you must not do. You may not:
    • publish them, sell them, or add them to your own database or talent list;
    • edit the photos, or use them in any advertising, campaign or other material, unless you have a booking and usage agreement with ALM;
    • use them, or any content from ALM Talent, to train or test AI systems;
    • remove ALM's name or branding from them.
  • Where your selection is kept. It is saved in your browser and holds up to 30 talents.
  • View-only links. A view-only link you create expires after 30 days. It shows only talents who are still public when the link is opened.
  • Sharing. Share these links only with people working on your project.

You must not:

  • copy, scrape, crawl or bulk-download the showcase, profiles, photos or PDFs, whether by hand or with automated tools;
  • try to identify, find or contact talents outside ALM using information from ALM Talent [unless a Special Client Access reveal was approved; see note C2];
  • use talents' photos or details for anything other than evaluating them for a project with ALM;
  • harass, mislead or discriminate against any talent;
  • get round limits, security checks or link expiry;
  • use ALM Talent for anything unlawful.
  • Photos and videos. These belong to the talents or their photographers.
  • Platform design and text. The design, text and ALM branding belong to ALM.
  • ALM's name and logo. You may not use ALM's name or logo without our written permission.
  • Source code. Parts of the software are open source (see the Source code page). That licence covers the code only. It does not cover talents' content or data.
  • How we handle yours. We handle your personal data as described in the privacy notice for visitors and clients.
  • Talents' data you receive. If you receive personal data about talents, for example in a shortlist or PDF, keep it secure. Use it only for your project, and delete it when you no longer need it for that project [lawyer to set any time limit].
  • The service. We provide the showcase and links "as is".
  • Talents. Talents are independent people. ALM is responsible for a booking only under the written booking agreement for that booking.

We may update these terms. We will show the new version and its date.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates [as applied in the Emirate of [SHARJAH / DUBAI]; the lawyer will choose between courts and arbitration].
